Art, Creating and Painting for Kids!

Art, Creating and Painting for Kids!  K-5th Grade, teaches children to draw what they see in the world around them.  This imaginative and informative class makes it easy for kids to make their art dreams come true. The hands-on lessons include contour drawing techniques and feature many exercises that show artists how to make basic shapes and forms and take them to draw people, animals, landscapes, and more.

Have fun exploring:

  • drawing animals and scenes

  • painting in watercolor, acrylic

  • printmaking by using lemons, celery, mushrooms, and other produce to make colorful prints

  • creating an expressive self-portrait using pieces of colored tissue paper

  • mixed media with contact paper and watercolor pencils

  • painting techniques

  • color with pencil eraser pointillism.

  • mixed media art by embellishing a family photo mounted on canvas

  • Origami
    • AND MANY OTHER creative projects!

Projects include examples found in the real world, with fine art elements highlighted in the project. Students learn about fine art, while working on relevant and inspiring projects.

Not all classes include the Science, Math and Art portion but if they do some projects include geometric tessalations (math), paint chemistry (science), dropping paint filled balloons from different heights (physics), flower designs (biology), coordinate plane designs (math) and others.
